Every now and then I get these notifications reminding me about the current time trials going on then. I click on them, and I see quite a few eligible cars for that TT tourney, but often what happens is that I do own one or more of the listed cars, but it's usually the slower, lower career level cars.

For instance I looked into one of the 4 TT stages the other day, and the only car I had that could be used in that stage was the Ford Focus from the first stages of Amateur, and the fastest cars listed there included supercars!

How exactly are you supposed to be competitive running an upgraded Focus against a McLaren F1? How do the TT tourneys work, and is it relatively possible to win something? What about the mysterious ghost cars that finish twice as fast as everyone else, and who break the laws of driving physics in the process?
